The Minnesota Timberwolves have been one of the most surprising teams of the 2023-2024 NBA Season.

After a lackluster year last season, the Timberwolves currently hold the best record in the Western Conference.

Anthony Edwards continues to emerge as one of the team’s leaders and is one of the best young players in the league.

When he talks, people tend to listen given his on-court prowess.

Edwards was recently outspoken about the Timberwolves’ recent game against the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Timberwolves handily won this game, but Edwards was concerned about the lack of energy within Memphis’ building.

According to Legion Hoops, Edwards said, “I’ve never played in Memphis like this,” calling the stadium “dead.”

The Timberwolves have been experiencing a breakout year, while the Grizzlies have taken a step back.

Their record to begin the year is 3-13, a direct indication of how valuable Ja Morant is to this team.

When he is on the floor, the Grizzlies play a lot better, but while he serves his suspension, the team has suffered greatly.

Regardless of who is taking the floor for this team, it ls clear that something needs to change.

Having a lackluster atmosphere can deplete the energy levels of both teams that are partaking in a game, especially the home team.

If Grizzlies fans don’t start showing up in a greater capacity, this atmosphere will likely continue for the rest of the year.

When Morant comes back, this building and their on-court production could quickly improve.

Will it be too late?
