The Minnesota Timberwolves have yet to lose a single game in the playoffs.

They followed a big sweep of Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns with an epic upset at Mile High to beat the Denver Nuggets and steal homecourt advantage from them in the Western Conference Semifinals.

Once again, Anthony Edwards was the best player on the court, leading his team with 43 points and making play after play on both ends of the floor.

Nonetheless, he still gave Nikola Jokic and the reigning NBA champions their flowers after the game.

Following the win, Edwards tipped his hat to Jokic, calling him the best player in the world and stating that it’s always fun to go against the best teams in the league (via NBA).

“Going against the best player in the world is always fun… going against the best team in the world is always fun,” Edwards said.

Edwards is perhaps the most confident player in the league, and he plays with a lot of swagger, talking trash and going at the other team’s best player on both ends of the floor like old-school stars used to do.

Still, that doesn’t mean he’s not respectful or even an admirer of other players’ greatness, and that’s yet another reason why he’s become such a huge fan favorite lately.

He clearly enjoyed himself when he outplayed Kevin Durant, but he was never disrespectful, and that’s where other young players often make mistakes.

Edwards is taking the torch without asking for permission, but just like great hoopers do, he also recognizes other star players’ game, and he’s become the most entertaining player to watch right now.
