One of the most promising players in the NBA right now is Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves, who has gone from a talented young player to a budding superstar while helping turn his team into a legitimate title contender in the Western Conference.

With the Timberwolves currently sitting atop the Western Conference standings with a record of 39-16, Edwards and his red-hot squad have been the talk of the NBA, as it seems Minnesota could be a great team for quite some time with the 22-year-old leading the way.

As Edwards approaches superstardom, he was recently interviewed by ESPN’s Malika Andrews and was asked a number of questions along with who he believes is the GOAT.

Unlike most of his peers who would go with Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, or LeBron James, Edwards gave an unexpected answer to the question from Andrews by dubbing Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant as his GOAT.

Although Durant is a two-time NBA champion and a future Hall of Famer, few call him the greatest player ever to play the game, but Edwards clearly admired the superstar growing up.

Durant is currently trying to turn the Suns into a legitimate title contender under head coach Frank Vogel while playing alongside fellow stars Devin Booker and Bradley Beal.

Unfortunately for Durant, the three-headed monster of him, Booker, and Beal hasn’t resulted in the kind of dominance they were expecting, but Phoenix remains a threat in the West while Edwards and the Timberwolves are dominating the competition on a nightly basis.
