Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets is sometimes impossible to slow down, and Anthony Edwards and his Minnesota Timberwolves learned that the hard way on Wednesday night.
“I don’t know, I don’t have to guard him…it looks hard,” Edwards said, via “Ball Don’t Lie.”
To really stress that point, Edwards then said: “Mother——‘s unstoppable.”

That certainly seemed the case during the game between the Nuggets and Timberwolves, as Jokic scored 41 points, 11 rebounds, and 7 assists during his team’s 116-107 win.
With that victory, the Nuggets again became the top team in the Western Conference and have a very good chance of holding onto that position in the days ahead.
Jokic has had yet another incredible season and is likely about to win his third MVP trophy.
Part of what makes Jokic so sensational is the fact that, as Edwards said, it seems very hard to stop him.
Not only can he score super well, sometimes from a distance, but he is also a brilliant floor general who can lead his team and help them achieve more.
It’s not just Jokic who makes the Nuggets so special and so competitive.
In the weeks ahead, other stars will be reminded how tough Jokic is.
He is terrific during the regular season but he gets even more red hot during the playoffs.
He’s already been amazing this season but if he picks up the pace and does even more in the playoffs, he will be even more remarkable.
According to Edwards, Jokic is an unstoppable player.
Now he just has to prove that he’s unbeatable too.
