The Minnesota Timberwolves let two big chances slip right through their fingers.

They were up 2-0 on the Denver Nuggets and had the next two games at home.

Securing at least one of those games was crucial to move on to the next round, but now, the series is tied at two.

However, nothing has changed for Anthony Edwards.

When asked about the Nuggets getting all momentum back, the former No. 1 pick stated that they’re still where they were two days ago, as they still need to win two more games (Via NBA TV).

“I don’t think they got any momentum… At this point, it’s just whoever wins two games… We’re competing at the highest level… If we played tomorrow, I’d be ready,” Edwards said.

Edwards stated that both teams are competing at the highest level, adding that he’d be ready to play tomorrow if that’s what it took to get the job done.

Notably, the Georgia product was simply spectacular in the loss.

Edwards scored 44 points to go along with five rebounds, five assists, two steals, one block, and five three-pointers on 16 of 25 from the floor, 5 of 8 from beyond the arc, and 7 of 8 from the free-throw line.

He was also +5 in an eight-point loss, so it feels like the rest of his supporting cast let him down this time around.

Karl-Anthony Towns’ woes were on full display again, as he finished the night with 13 points and went 1 for 10 in the first half, the worst shooting half of his career.

As for Rudy Gobert, he was a liability on defense again, as it happens every year in the playoffs.

Chris Finch’s team is still right there, but Edwards will need more help from his co-stars.
