The Minnesota Timberwolves could very well find themselves on the brink of elimination from the postseason if they drop even just one of the two road games against the Dallas Mavericks.

Minnesota inexplicably lost both of their home games to Dallas during the Western Conference Finals and now must steal two back to give themselves an earnest shot of winning the series.

The Timberwolves’ defense has been up to par, but it’s their offense that has struggled against the Mavericks.

Anthony Edwards hasn’t been able to get going this series as Dallas has made it a point to take the basketball out of his hands and force his teammates to make shots instead.

The young superstar has done well to respond after poor performances in the playoffs and now must rise to the challenge again to save his team from getting sent home.

With Game 3 set for Sunday evening, Edwards vowed he would be more aggressive via Dave McMenamin of ESPN.

“Anthony Edwards vowed to be more aggressive calling his own number in Game 3: “Y’all going to see tonight … It’s going to be a lot of shots.”

Edwards sounds like someone who is going to go down swinging and Minnesota needs him to revive their halfcourt offense as they’ve had a tough time scoring at the end of shot clock situations.

Dallas knows that a huge Edwards scoring game is bound to happen, so it’ll be interesting to see how that influences their defensive scheme.

Game 3 could very well decide the winner of the series, and it remains to be seen if Edwards has enough left in the tank to stave off elimination.
