The Indianapolis Colts have seemingly pinned their future hopes on quarterback Anthony Richardson, who was the No. 4 pick in April’s draft.
They named him their starter, and plenty of people feel he has the potential to become a very good signal-caller in the NFL.
More evidence of how much the Colts are leaning on Richardson came when he was named their captain by his teammates, per Dov Kleiman.

Richardson didn’t put up dazzling stats in college at the University of Florida, but a number of teams started to have a better impression of him during the draft combine when he reportedly looked impressive, especially during the interview process.
He is a dual-threat quarterback whom some have compared to the likes of Josh Allen, at least in terms of his potential.
Indianapolis is in turmoil right now following the trade request of star running back Jonathan Taylor, and there are a number of teams that are reportedly interested in trading for him.
Two teams that are especially interested in him are the Miami Dolphins, who already lost out on Dalvin Cook this summer, and the rebuilding Green Bay Packers.
Taylor asked to be traded after the team refused to give him the lucrative contract extension he was demanding, and unless there is some unexpected resolution to the matter, the Colts will have to receive some high draft picks for him and simply move on.
Last season was a big disappointment for them, as they went just 4-12-1 and fired head coach Frank Reich, only to replace him with Jeff Saturday, whose only head coaching experience to that point came at a private high school in small-town Georgia.
