The Indianapolis Colts took a big chance in the NFL Draft last season.
They took Anthony Richardson early in the first round, as he had been the most polarizing quarterback prospect in the class.
His physical traits were off the charts, but his lack of experience and poor accuracy raised concerns about him.
Then, he excelled in a limited sample size, and he now looks like a potential star in the making.
With that in mind, former NFL star Ryan Clark reached out to interview him.
He wondered whether he’d ever gotten any sort of advice from Colts legend Peyton Manning, who plenty of people consider to be the greatest quarterback of all time (via Pivot Podcast).

Richardson revealed that the first time Manning talked to him was during his camp, adding that the best advice he got from him was that it was okay to be rude sometimes.
He talked about how he needed to be a leader, and if that meant getting in one of his teammates’ faces to make sure he does what’s best for the team, so be it.
That seems like classic Manning there.
He was usually easy going and a great teammate, but he was also not afraid to call out everybody to make sure everybody was in line.
Richardson is expected to be the face of the franchise for years to come, and with that kind of power also comes great responsibility, so he must prove that he’s up to the task on and off the field.
