The Pittsburgh Steelers’ Week 1 loss highlighted their need to reload at wide receiver.

While they gained more yards through the air than the San Francisco 49ers, they didn’t have a wideout who reached 100 yards.

Conversely, Brandon Aiyuk had 129 yards and two touchdowns for the Niners.

Worst yet, sources reveal that Diontae Johnson will be out for a few weeks due to a hamstring injury.

Tight end Pat Freiermuth is also dealing with a chest injury.

Those updates are massive blows for a team hoping to sneak into this season’s stacked AFC playoff picture.

With the Steelers having a glaring need at wide receiver, Antonio Brown is knocking at Pittsburgh’s door with his latest tweets.

“Heard the @Steelers need a WR……” He tweeted.

The 12-year NFL veteran declared his intention to play for the Steelers again.

Brown was among the NFL’s best wideouts during his time with the Steelers.

He became a First Team All-Pro in four of the nine seasons he lined up for the six-time Super Bowl winners.

The Central Michigan product also led the league in receiving yards twice and in touchdowns once.

Despite his talent, his behavior has hindered a potential NFL comeback.

Who could forget when he stormed off in MetLife Stadium topless while waving to the crowd in his final game with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers?

His recent failings with the Albany Empire won’t endear him to any NFL front office.

Sadly, the ship back to the NFL has most likely sailed on him, and he hasn’t realized it.
