The Pittsburgh Steelers could be facing a quarterback battle pretty soon.

Russell Wilson met with the organization and new offensive coordinator Arthur Smith, and things reportedly went well.

Needless to say, that puts plenty of pressure on Kenny Pickett.

With that in mind, former Steelers star Antonio Brown took to Twitter to make fun of Pickett, referring to Adam Sandler’s The Longest Yard.

Truth be told, Wilson should have a big edge over his younger colleague to become the next starter for the team.

Mike Tomlin seemed to have lost all faith in him late in the season, as he stuck with Mason Rudolph in the playoffs vs. the Buffalo Bills, even though Pickett had already been medically cleared to play again.

Reports claim that the Steelers still have faith in Pickett and want to see him perform with a different offensive coordinator, as he only got to play under Matt Canada.

Then again, this team is so close to contention, and adding Wilson to the mix would obviously help them inch closer in that regard.

The Steelers have one of the best defenses and coaches in the game, and their offensive talent hasn’t been used to the best of their abilities because of their subpar quarterback situation.

The clock is ticking, and the fans have made it loud and clear that finishing with a .500 record isn’t good enough.

It’s time the Steelers get back to their winning ways in the playoffs, and they have a better chance to do so with Wilson under center.
