Fans who were hoping that the Oakland Athletics would remain in Oakland and build a new stadium in the Bay Area received some bad news on Wednesday night.

The Athletics announced that their plan to move to Las Vegas has all but come to fruition.

The A’s are planning to invest in a brand new, 35,000-fan stadium in the Las Vegas area.

This news has been met with much disappointment from fans in Oakland who were hoping that the team could find a way to stick around the Bay Area.

The team also released a statement to inform fans on the latest development.

The A’s announced that the plan is to build a new ballpark in Las Vegas and expressed their disappointment over the fact that they were unable to do as much in Oakland, which is something they had been working to do over the past two decades.

This news is ultimately going to be difficult to hear for A’s fans, who have enjoyed going to games at the Oakland Coliseum for decades.

With the departure of the A’s, the San Francisco Giants will be left as the only MLB team in the Bay Area.

Oakland has also lost several other teams over the years.

The Oakland Raiders moved to Las Vegas, and the Golden State Warriors moved closer to the San Francisco area.

Needless to say, it hasn’t been a pleasant few years for fans in the Oakland area.

Rumors have circulated for quite some time about the A’s moving to Las Vegas.

Now, it appears all but inevitable.
