The Los Angeles Chargers have found themselves in a predicament with one of their elite offensive weapons.
Recent reports have surfaced about running back Austin Ekeler and his frustrations with the organization.
These frustrations are due to Ekeler’s looming contract extension, as he will be a free agent after the 2023 season.
In a recent radio interview, Ekeler outlined what he is currently going through with the team.

Last year, Ekeler had a career-high in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns, with 915 yards, and 13 touchdowns.
He added 107 receptions, which was also a career-high for him.
Despite Ekeler’s production during the 2022 season, the Chargers still haven’t signed him to a contract past 2023.
During his radio appearance, Ekeler added “We’re trying to find a long-term partner.”
Whether that long-term partner is the Chargers remains to be seen.
When the 2023 season begins, Ekeler will be 28 years old.
In the NFL, many running backs fail to receive a second contract after their rookie deal, and a third contract is nearly unheard of, especially in today’s game.
Ekeler believes that he can provide value to an NFL team for the next few years.
Will any team be willing to play ball, offering him the contract that he desires?
