Austin Reaves has accomplished great things during his time with the Los Angeles Lakers.
But with just two years in the league to his name, Reaves still has so much more to do.
He will do it all, according to Lakers head coach Darvin Ham.
Speaking to the “#thisleague UNCUT” podcast, via Harrison Faigen, Ham told Marc Stein that “Austin Reaves will be an All-Star at some point soon.”
He added, “I think what you saw with him being invited to be a part of the World Cup team is the first step in that direction. Everything you saw him do last year, the kid is a flat-out competitor.”
Ham also said that Reaves is “one of the greatest human beings you could ever be around.”

Regardless of what comes in his future, Reaves is currently a highly valued member of the Lakers.
He just signed a four-year, $56 million contract with the Lakers after GM Rob Pelinka made it abundantly clear that the team wanted to keep him around.
As a kid, Reaves grew up a Kobe Bryant fan in rural Arkansas and dreamed of being a basketball star someday.
After going undrafted in the 2021 NBA Draft, Reaves signed a contract with the Lakers but not a whole lot was expected from the young player.
But Reaves has turned into a pivotal part of the team’s success.
Last season, he averaged 13 points, 3 rebounds, and 3.4 assists.
And during the playoffs, he brought those totals up to 16.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 4.6 assists.
Now he is part of the American FIBA Basketball World Cup team and is most likely a starter for the Lakers next season.
It seems very probable that Ham is right and he will be an All-Star in the near future.
