After breaking out in the 2023 NBA Playoffs, Austin Reaves signed a four-year, $56 million deal to stay with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Reaves is one of the league’s best success stories as he went from undrafted free agent to an important rotation piece for the Lakers.

Although Los Angeles is in ninth place in the Western Conference, they’ve got some real momentum behind them and could be a team to watch out for in the stretch run of the 2023-24 NBA season.

The Lakers are back in action after the All-Star break and will draw the Golden State Warriors, another team that’s found a groove the past month.

Reaves will likely spend most of the night trying to slow down Stephen Curry who’s been on a tear as of late.

Reaves and Curry have faced off several times now, and the former revealed what the extent of their relationship looks like via Michael Corvo of ClutchPoints.

“I ask [Steph Curry] every time we play how his swing is feeling,” Reaves said.

Reaves and Curry are both avid golfers and can often be seen on the green during their downtime.

Golf is a classic sport for athletes given it’s easygoing nature and it sounds like Reaves and Curry have been able to bond over it.

At the end of the clip, Reaves jokes that he hasn’t had to give any tips to Curry because he’s confident that the Warriors superstar can hold his own on the course.

However, the two will face off on the hardwood Thursday night in what is sure to be an exciting game between two rivals.
