Austin Reaves Responds To Kevin Durant’s Taunt

The Los Angeles Lakers just got a taste of the new-look Phoenix Suns, and it wasn’t pretty.

It was just a preseason game, and the starters didn’t top the 25-minute plateau, but still, it was just a glimpse of how good Frank Vogel’s team can be.

On top of that, Kevin Durant was at his best with some of his signature trash-talking, this time aimed at Lakers guard Austin Reaves.

The veteran star scored over Reaves before shouting out to Jordan Ott — a former Brooklyn Nets assistant — that he better not have him guarding him next week in the regular season.

When asked about that taunt, Reaves had no choice but to tip his hat to Durant, pretty much stating that there’s nothing you can do on defense to stop a player like him (Via Dave McMenamin).

Kevin Durant scored on Austin Reaves on Thursday and shouted out to Lakers asst coach, Jordan Ott, who was an asst in BKN with KD: “Don’t have him guard me next week”

Truth be told, Kevin Durant is one of the most unstoppable forces in NBA history, if not the most.

There’s not much you can do when he’s locked in, but just hope he misses, and — obviously — that has never worked out very well.

The Suns are the team to beat in the Western Conference if they manage to stay healthy, which is pretty much the only thing that could keep them from reaching the NBA Finals.

And while the Lakers should be better than they looked in last night’s 23-point blowout loss, it’ll take more than one guy to try and get in front of one of the greatest scorers this game has ever seen.
