The Minnesota Timberwolves just achieved a massive feat by taking down the Denver Nuggets in seven games and now they are about to enter the Western Conference Finals.
Minnesota’s success is partly due to the amazing work of Anthony Edwards, who has been electric all season and has become the centerpiece of the team.
Speaking on “First Take,” former NBA star Austin Rivers spoke about Edwards and called him the new face of the NBA.
“He has the aura. He has the smile. He has the charisma,” Rivers said about the Timberwolves sensation.

There are many people who think that Edwards could be the face of the league long into the future.
This was the thought before he and his team started storming through the playoffs but now even more people believe it.
If Edwards is able to go all the way to the Finals, he will undeniably be one of the biggest players in the NBA.
His talent is unquestionable and he has averaged 28.9 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 5.9 assists during the postseason this year.
But beyond his skills on the court, Edwards is gaining praise for his personality and charisma, as noted by Rivers.
The man has an infectious smile and a great personality that shines through during every game.
He plays incredible basketball but he’s also very fun to watch, which only adds to the buzz around him.
No matter how it ends, Edwards has had a wonderful season that has made him a legitimate superstar and a household name.
If he keeps playing well in the postseason, talk about him being the league’s future will only grow.
