The NBA is full of great players that may never make the Hall of Fame.
Even though not everyone ends up with the game’s greatest honor, that does not mean they should not be honored.
One player who had a great career playing for six different franchises is Baron Davis.
Davis was drafted by the Charlotte Hornets as the third overall pick in the 1999 NBA Draft.
He ended up playing 5.5 seasons with the Hornets in both Charlotte and New Orleans.
Davis made one All-NBA Team and two All-Star teams during his tenure with the Hornets.
The Hornets announced they plan to honor the career of Davis on November 18th.
Davis said on Twitter that he is “extremely grateful and humbled” by this honor.

Davis is one of the players that brought the Hornets onto the map in the early 2000s.
He was a flashy point guard who was a great scorer and defender.
Davis led the NBA in steals two times in his career.
Even for his size, he made his impact felt on both sides of the floor.
This is a great move from the Hornets to honor Davis.
For being a top-three draft pick he lived up to the expectations for his career.
The Hornets may be in for a tough season again next year but they have some young players to be excited about.
LaMelo Ball and Brandon Miller are two cornerstones of the franchise.
The Hornets hope one of them can have a similar impact on their franchise that Davis had.
