The Chicago Bears are in a privileged position right now.
Not only do they have the No. 1 selection, which they will most likely use to get Caleb Williams, but they also have the No. 9 pick.
That puts them in a position to give their rookie quarterback an elite playmaking talent at the wide receiver position as well.
With that in mind, it’s not much of a surprise to see that they’re meeting with Washington star Rome Odunze.
Bleacher Report insider Jordan Schultz reveals that Odunze will also meet with the Arizona Cardinals, who are expected to trade down from the No. 4 spot.
Speaking of Caleb Williams and the #Bears, source says Chicago is hosting another top prospect today in Washington WR Rome Odunze.
After that? I’m told Rome’s next top 30 will be with the #AZCardinals, who currently hold the 4th pick — although multiple league sources say… https://t.co/E2MBMnGZe9 pic.twitter.com/UdA9CDCfRt

Odunze is currently considered to be the third-best wide receiver prospect behind Ohio State’s Marvin Harrison Jr. and LSU’s Malik Nabers, but the talent gap isn’t that wide between him and Nabers, according to most scouts.
In one of their most eventful offseasons in recent history, the Bears have already added Keenan Allen to their receiving corps.
Having two proven veterans like Allen and D.J. Moore by his side could take plenty of pressure off a playmaker and deep-ball threat like Odunze.
The Bears should be one of the most improved teams in the league next season, as their defense was already one of the best in the game, and they’ve gone to great lengths to address their offensive issues as well.
Whoever they pick should be poised to make an immediate impact for Matt Eberflus’ team, especially if Williams is as good and NFL-ready as they hope he is.
