The Chicago Bears are going through a unique experience during training camp, as they were selected as the team that ‘Hard Knocks’ would follow this season.

As many fans are aware, the Bears are going through a lot of changes to hopefully turn the organizational tides and help the team get back on track.

Drafting Caleb Williams with the No. 1 overall pick was a step in that new direction for the Bears.

‘Hard Knocks’ is helping them document their journey, and the first episode is slated to come out soon.

HBO dropped a short trailer recently, which included a clip of Williams telling his teammates about his signing bonus, which was $25.5 million.

Adam Schefter shared the clip on Twitter, highlighting backup QB Tyson Bagent’s reaction, who made quite the physical scene upon hearing this news.

Bagent acted like he had just gotten struck by lightning after hearing this news.

This is a massive signing bonus for a rookie, and his teammates are well aware of that.

For Williams to receive this amount of money, it’s a sign that the Bears are standing behind him, and hope that he can be their franchise quarterback for the foreseeable future.

Unfortunately, the Bears have struggled to find a consistent player at the position for many years, but Williams represents hope for them.

They’ve yet to have a 4,000-yard passer in the team’s history, but with Williams’ track record in college, and looking at his prospect profile, he just might be the player to achieve that for them.
