Despite not having Justin Fields, the Chicago Bears won their second game of the season behind some strong defensive play and some mistake-free football by backup rookie QB Tyson Bagent.
One of the highlights of the day came when CB Jaylon Johnson got in the way of a Brian Hoyer pass intended for Davante Adams, snatching it and taking it all the way back home for the game-sealing touchdown.
Johnson put the exclamation point on the win by reaching out to the cameras and celebrated by “making it rain.”
When asked about the gesture, the fourth-year pro wanted to make it clear that he’s looking forward to getting paid; he knows his worth and wants the Bears to make it rain as well (via NBC Sports Chicago and Matt Zahn):
Jaylon Johnson asked if he was sending a message with this celebration: “You damn right, 100%.”
Added later, “I know I can play this game at a high level, and I deserve to be paid like that.”@cbschicago https://t.co/QRUxUfHdZq

Notably, he had two interceptions on Sunday, which were the second and third of his young career after also picking off Joe Burrow in Week 2, 2021.
He’s playing in the final year of his rookie contract, and after failing to reach an agreement on an extension in the offseason, he’s trying to make it loud and clear that he won’t settle for anything less than his market value.
He’s one of the best young corners in the league, logging 34 passes defended throughout the course of his career, and being quite solid in coverage.
Now, it’ll be up to the Bears to determine whether they want him there or not, as he wasn’t a pick made by the current Ryan Poles regime.
