Long-suffering Chicago Bears fans are much more excited about their team right now than they have been in decades, and for good reason.
The Bears have a generational talent in rookie quarterback Caleb Williams, as well as plenty of talent around him, especially on offense.
One of their offensive studs is wide receiver D.J. Moore, and he will stick around Chi-town for a while, as he has reportedly agreed to a four-year, $110 million contract extension, per Adam Schefter.
Schefter pointed out that this extension means Moore will end up with the first 10 years of his NFL career guaranteed, making him the first wide receiver in history to accomplish that feat.
DJ Moore and the Bears reached agreement on a four-year, $110 million extension that includes $82.6M guaranteed. The deal was negotiated by Drew Rosenhaus, Jason Rosenhaus and Robert Bailey.

Although it didn’t seem like it at the time, the Bears’ turnaround began last offseason when they traded the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft to the Carolina Panthers for Moore and the Panthers’ first-round pick this year.
That 2024 pick turned out to be the No. 1 overall pick, and that pick turned into Williams.
The rookie will be able to depend on Moore, a player who has gone over 1,150 receiving yards in four of the past five seasons, as well as six-time Pro Bowl WR Keenan Allen and rookie Rome Odunze, who was the No. 9 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
It won’t be easy for Chicago to compete in the NFC North, as the division suddenly looks strong from top to bottom.
The Detroit Lions, who finished first in the division last year, are coming off a trip to the NFC Championship Game, while the Green Bay Packers are on the rise and have become the darlings of the national media.
Meanwhile, the Minnesota Vikings may have a big question mark at the QB spot, but they have three stars on offense in Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison and T.J. Hockenson.
But for the first time in a long time, the Bears have the power to hold their own against most, if not all, NFL teams.
