At the beginning of training camp in the NFL, it is not shocking when teams decide to bring in veteran players from different professional leagues such as the UFL.
One veteran cornerback is now joining the Cincinnati Bengals.
According to insider Jordan Schultz, journeyman Nate Brooks is signing with the Bengals after becoming an All-UFL defender last season with the Michigan Panthers.

Brooks has bounced around to three different professional leagues since going undrafted out of North Texas in 2019.
Including practice squads, the Bengals will be Brooks’s ninth different NFL team that he has played for.
In 2023, before joining the Michigan Panthers for the 2024 season, he last played in the NFL for the San Francisco 49ers.
In total, Brooks has 11 total tackles in four career NFL games.
Three of those games came with the Miami Dolphins in 2019 and one came with the Baltimore Ravens the following season.
While starting on the Michigan Panthers this past season, Brooks recorded 36 tackles, four pass deflections, along with an interception.
Before going to the Niners in 2023, he also helped the Birmingham Stallions of the USFL win the USFL Championship.
Right now, it is hard to say if Brooks will make the roster or not given the fact that training camp just started.
But, he is an embattled player who has not given up on his career and is still just 27 years of age.
It never hurts to bring in a gritty player with some championship experience at the professional level.
Look for Brooks to be a name to watch as the summer rolls on in Cincinnati.
