Bengals HC Explains What Makes Joe Burrow Different

Even though they’ve put together a very good squad, there’s no doubt that the main reason why the Cincinnati Bengals are a Super Bowl contender is because they have Joe Burrow.

He didn’t need a lot of time to demonstrate how good he could be, leading his team to the Super Bowl in his first full season as a starter.

Burrow is obviously a very good player on the field, but he also seems to have those intangibles that make a player go from “pretty good” to one of the best in the game.

Recently, Pat McAfee hosted Bengals head coach Zac Taylor on his show and asked him to describe Burrow, and his coach had nothing but praise for him.

“Joe Burrow has an edge to him at all times and he has qualities that are indescribable”

Per Taylor, Burrow always has that edge to him and that winning instinct, which is why he won’t settle for anything less from any of the guys that are around him.

He claimed that Burrow is a guy who’s hard to describe, but he agreed with McAfee when he talked about the quarterback’s work ethic and humility.

Taylor believes Burrow has all those little things that make a quarterback great, not just on the field but off of it too.

That’s why it’ll be so important for them to try and keep him on the field, and why they shouldn’t rush him back after he suffered that calf injury during training camp.

The Bengals need their leader at their best, and there’s no need to take risks, and should only bring him back when he’s back to full strength.
