Before the 2023 NFL season even started last year, the regular season seemed to have been derailed with all the questions about superstar quarterback Joe Burrow’s health following suffering a concerning calf injury during training camp.
Even though Burrow was able to remain healthy for a good portion of the season, Cincinnati never really got going, and the superstar ultimately went down again with a season-ending wrist injury.
Despite the fact the Bengals were able to thread water for some time, the season always seemed to be doomed without Burrow leading the charge, which is what they hope to change in 2024 with the perennial Pro Bowler back healthy.
Unfortunately for Cincinnati, the injury bug was biting once again for the Bengals this week, with wide receiver Charlie Jones getting carted off the practice field with what seems to be a significant injury, according to Ben Baby of ESPN.

Even though Jones isn’t Ja’Marr Chase or Tee Higgins, teams never want to see players go down like this and be forced to leave the gridiron on a cart, especially with all the injuries they’ve had to deal with over the past few years.
Hopefully for Cincinnati, the Bengals can stay relatively healthy moving forward and start the season on a high note with their best player available on both sides of the football.
If the Bengals can start the 2024 campaign strongly, they could once again become a legitimate Super Bowl title contender.
