The Colorado Buffaloes were one of the most discussed college football teams heading into the 2023 season.
Deion Sanders had just joined the team as their newest head coach, a big-time signing for a school without much football notoriety.
Fans and analysts were intrigued to see how Sanders’ team would fare, and if his winning mentality and career experience would translate to the collegiate level.
To much surprise, Sanders’ team won their first three games of the season, including a stunning opening-day victory over TCU.
While there seemed to be some momentum for this team after those first three games, they quickly came back to reality, winning just one more game throughout the rest of the season.
After other teams around college football started picking up on their schemes and game plans, the Buffaloes were unable to keep their foot on the gas.
Despite how they looked at the end of the year, fans are still excited to see what they can do in 2024.
In fact, according to data analyst John Ewing, a bettor at BetMGM put a $10,000 wager on Colorado to win the Big 12 this year.

If that happens, this person will walk away with a quarter of a million dollars.
While this seems like an extreme payday, there’s a reason why the odds are so juiced.
Sanders’ team has some stiff competition in the Big 12, and while they have some talented players, they’ll need to keep pulling rabbits out of their hat if they want any chance of winning the conference.
