The Boston Celtics could get one of their best players back just in time for when it counts.
Kristaps Porzingis has been out for more than a month.
He suffered a non-contact calf injury in Game 4 of the first-round series vs. the Miami Heat, but he’s inching closer to a return.
Porzingis has reportedly ramped up his recovery and hasn’t suffered any setbacks in his recovery, so he should be back on the floor for Game 1 vs. the Dallas Mavericks.
With that in mind, a bettor has reportedly placed a huge wager on him winning Finals MVP.
As reported by the Action Network on Twitter, someone placed a $3.5K wager on him being the most valuable player of the series, which would give him a payout of $122.5K.

Of course, Porzingis is talented enough to be the X-Factor in this series.
From that to being Finals MVP, however, could be a bit of a stretch, as he’s not going to get more touches on offense than, say, Jayson Tatum or Jaylen Brown.
Still, he does have a bit of history with Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks, and we’ve seen players take their game to a whole new level in the NBA Finals in the past.
Andre Iguodala wasn’t the best player or even the leading scorer for the Golden State Warriors when he won Finals MVP, so anything can happen.
Whatever the case, we just hope this is a fun and long series and that both teams stay healthy throughout the course of it.
