After finishing the 2023 NFL season with a 4-13 record and missing the playoffs again, New England Patriots team owner Robert Kraft made the difficult decision to part ways with head coach Bill Belichick.
Belichick coached and managed the Patriots for 24 years, winning six Super Bowl titles and establishing a dynasty in the NFL.
His accomplishments make him a shoo-in for the Pro Football Hall of Fame, though his coaching career isn’t over as he sought another opportunity.
Although Belichick got passed over this hiring cycle, there’s no doubt that teams will be monitoring his status as he still has plenty left to give to the game of football.
Where Belichick ultimately ends up next is a good question, but he’s got the skills and expertise to help a franchise get to a title game.
In the meantime, Belichick took out an ad in the Boston Globe and his daughter Amanda Belichick offered her support for her dad via her personal Twitter account.

Bill and Amanda spent several quality years in New England and the two obviously enjoyed their time with the people and friends they encountered.
Bill might not be a head coach for the upcoming 2024 NFL season, but he’s a respected individual and should get another shot the next time teams are hiring.
It’ll be odd for Patriots fans to see a new head coach on the sidelines next season, but there’s hope and optimism that the organization will bounce back.
