The 2023 NFL playoff field will be resolved Sunday, but a few teams have already secured playoff spots – either by winning their respective division or via the wildcard.
One of those teams is the Los Angeles Rams, who surprised many this year after a poor 2022 campaign.
Led by Matthew Stafford on offense and Aaron Donald on defense, the Rams have gone toe-to-toe with some of the best teams in the NFL despite a roster full of players most didn’t know about heading into the season.
But even after all their success this season, former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach and current CBS Sports analyst Bill Cowher doesn’t believe the Rams are getting enough respect as Super Bowl contenders.
“Is there any team hotter than the Los Angeles Rams going into the playoffs?” Cowher said. “Yet, Nobody is talking about them.”

Stafford is playing at a high level, but it’s the performance of the Rams’ young stars that are pushing Los Angeles forward.
Running back Kyren Williams is one of the best in the NFL statistically, rookie wide receiver Puka Nacua proved himself a star pass-catcher, and the young defense around Donald has kept the Rams in games most of the year.
The Rams may have locked in a playoff spot, but their seed is anything but certain.
