The Paris Olympics is a chance for multiple NBA stars to make their countries proud, perform well, and grow close to one another.

Does that mean that some of them might link up in the NBA in the future?

According to Bill Simmons, per NBACentral, Anthony Edwards likes playing with Bam Adebayo and Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra.

Therefore, he might move to the Heat at some point.

“Ant Edwards really loves Bam and Spoelstra and his experience with them. Don’t be surprised,” Simmons said on his podcast.

Is there any chance that the Heat will acquire Edwards in the next few years?

He seems incredibly dedicated to his Minnesota Timberwolves right now and will remain with them for the foreseeable future.

But there is a point in every NBA player’s career when questions about the future pop up and that moment will come for Edwards.

It might not be soon since the Timberwolves have been doing so well, but it’ll surely come.

Meanwhile, the Heat have remained relatively dormant over the last several years.

They haven’t secured any major talent or committed to big changes in the roster.

Landing Edwards would be their most significant move in years and it could really shake up the team.

With that being said, it would require that Heat mastermind Pat Riley give away a lot because Minnesota won’t part ways with Edwards for any package short of excellent.

Simmons might be right and Edwards could someday travel down to Miami but unless something wild and unexpected happens, it won’t be any time soon.
