Legions of Boston Celtics fans were shocked when their team lost Game 2 to the Miami Heat on Wednesday night.
Many people thought that the Celtics were going to storm past the Heat again and earn a 2-0 lead.
Following the surprising loss, Celtics superfan Bill Simmons talked about what went wrong.
On Twitter, he noted that Kristaps Porzingis had a bad game with 6 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists.
But that wasn’t the only thing plaguing the Celtics.
Simmons said Boston’s defensive plans were “awful,” saying that the team’s best defenders didn’t “hound” the Heat and let Miami get “WAY too comfortable” from beyond the three-point line.
KP had a bad Game 2. If Miami does that again, he’ll torch them.
The real prob: Boston’s D strategy was awful. They have Jrue/White/JB + didn’t pressure/hound a team w/ zero PG’s? Mia got whatever the F they wanted. It wasn’t “welp they made 3s.” They were WAY too comfortable.

Celtics fans should rest assured that this won’t happen again, according to Simmons.
He believes that his team will correct the mistakes they made and get back on track for Game 3.
They have to because the feedback for their performance in Game 2 was very negative, even from devoted fans, and now all eyes are on them.
The problem for the Celtics is that they are playing against one of the most proven underdog teams in the league.
The Heat have repeatedly been counted out by numerous experts and analysts and have then repeatedly come back strong and proven everyone wrong.
Plus, Games 3 and 4 will be held in Miami, giving the Heat a boost in home-court advantage.
However, the Celtics know what they did wrong and they will likely make the necessary changes.
What are the chances that they make the same mistakes, Porzingis has yet another bad game, and the Heat continue to shoot uncontested three-pointers?
A lot is riding on the Celtics for Game 3.
If they aren’t able to have a big rebound game, the conversation around their problems will only grow louder.
