After failing to live up to expectations during the NFL playoffs, with Josh Allen and company falling to the Kansas City Chiefs once again, the Buffalo Bills have had a rough NFL offseason, as the team has lost a number of their star players and leaders in the locker room.

Earlier this week, the Bills made a trade with the Houston Texans, which finally ended star wide receiver Stefon Diggs’ stint with the team while giving up-and-coming quarterback C.J. Stroud another solid option downfield next season.

Along with sending Diggs to the Texans, the Bills also lost Gabe Davis, Tre’Davious White, Leonard Floyd, Jordan Poyer, Mitch Morse, and Tyrel Dodson this offseason, which could result in Buffalo simply not being the same heavyweight in the AFC next season.

However, the team may have taken a step in the right direction on Thursday, with Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reporting that the Bills have agreed to a deal with veteran offensive tackle La’el Collins.

After six solid seasons with the Dallas Cowboys and spending one season with the Cincinnati Bengals, Collins is on the move once again, as he’ll be tasked with trying to protect Allen next season.

If the Bills fail to add some wide receiver talent in the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft, which is one of the deepest drafts in recent memory at receiver, Collins could have his work cut out for him protecting Allen, who could be on the move with his feet more than ever during the 2024 campaign.
