The Buffalo Bills had a tough offseason and now a tough preseason.
They had to part ways with a lot of significant names, including Pro Bowl safeties Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde, Pro Bowl cornerback Tre’Davious White, All-Pro wide receiver Stefon Diggs, deep threat Gabe Davis, Pro Bowl center Mitch Morse, and others.
Now, they reportedly have lost another one of their top contributors on defense due to injury.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, All-Pro linebacker Matt Milano tore his bicep in practice and is going to be out indefinitely.
“Milano will undergo surgery on his torn bicep with the hope of trying to return later this season, possibly in December,” Schefter posted on social media.

Milano just can’t seem to escape the injury bug.
After playing in just five games in 2023 before suffering a fractured leg, Milano will miss a large chunk of the 2024 season with this new injury.
Prior to 2023, the former fifth-round pick out of Boston College had at least 85 total tackles in three of the previous four seasons for Buffalo.
He also has almost 40 pass deflections and has 10 interceptions in his career.
Losing Milano is a crushing blow because he has been a stable piece of the puzzle for seven years.
It will now be up to 2023 third-round pick Dorian Williams, veteran Nicholas Morrow and former Pro Bowl linebacker Deion Jones to man the middle of the defense.
Time will tell to see how Buffalo responds to the loss of Milano and how the remaining linebackers come together in Sean McDermott’s defense.
