After flaming out of the NFL playoffs last season, losing to Patrick Mahomes and the defending Super Bowl champions once again, the Buffalo Bills headed into the offseason with a lot of uncertainty surrounding the team, especially after letting wide receiver Gabe Davis walk in NFL free agency and trading superstar Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans.
Although two of the team’s best offensive weapons will be suiting up elsewhere during the upcoming 2024 NFL regular season, the Bills are still getting attention as a team that can be a force to be reckoned with in the AFC, with superstar quarterback Josh Allen still under center and determined to take this team to another level.
With the Bills aiming to bounce back and get into the title-contending conversation in the NFL, the team needs to make the right moves ahead of Week 1 to put the best squad on the field, which, unfortunately, can result in some roster cuts involving some notable players.
According to Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team, the Bills have officially released one-time Pro Bowl linebacker Deion Jones.

Although Jones’ release will make headlines, considering he is a former Pro Bowler, the veteran linebacker has bounced around the league since making a name for himself during his stint with the Atlanta Falcons.
Jones played for the Cleveland Browns and Carolina Panthers before signing a one-year deal with the Bills in May and ultimately getting released by the team on Sunday, making him a free agent again.
