Baseball has seen more than its fair share of great shortstops over its long history.
Honus Wagner, Derek Jeter, Barry Larkin, Nomar Garciaparra, and Ozzie Smith are a few examples.
However, today’s generation features a ton of great shortstops.
One of them is Toronto Blue Jays star Bo Bichette.
As the son of MLB legend Dante Bichette, the Blue Jays shortstop has seen several great players over the course of his life.
Recently, the star shortstop got a chance to talk with MLB insider Chris Henderson, and talked about who he would want in the infield with him during games and who his top-5 shortstops of all time are.
Bo Bichette names the infield he’d like to be part of: Arenado, Semien, Freeman
And he names his shortstop Mt. Rushmore: Jeter, Nomar, A-Rod, Tejada, Tulowitzki

Bichette says that he would enjoy playing alongside stars such as Nolan Arenado, Marcus Semien, and Freddie Freeman if he were to build his own infield.
Henderson then asked him about who would be on his personal Mount Rushmore of shortstops.
Bichette said that Jeter, Garciaparra, Alex Rodriguez, and Troy Tulowitzki would be on his list of legendary shortstops.
He also threw Miguel Tejada in the mix as an honorable mention.
Of those five, Jeter is the only one in the Hall of Fame.
However, Rodriguez has been on the ballot for some time and may ultimately garner some consideration.
His father got a chance to play alongside Garciaparra in 2000 and 2001 when he was with the Boston Red Sox.
Those were Dante’s final seasons in Major League Baseball, so Bichette would certainly know a thing or two about the Red Sox legend.
But Bichette certainly has an elite list of shortstops for his top 5 and some solid infielders he would enjoy playing with.
