The 2024 NFL Draft is nearly here and teams are eager to add some talented players to their rosters.
The quarterback class this year could go down as one of the best in recent memory as there are several franchise-altering talents available.
USC’s Caleb Williams is a near-lock to go to the Chicago Bears first overall, though UNC’s Drake Maye and LSU’s Jayden Daniels could be right behind him.
There are also players like Michigan’s J.J. McCarthy and Washington’s Michael Penix Jr., who could also go in the first round.
Aside from those five, there’s also Oregon’s Bo Nix, who comes with as much collegiate experience as anybody.
Nix might not be the most exciting prospect out of the group, but he’s a solid player who can come in and immediately help a team.
During a sitdown with Robert Griffin III, Nix recounted a story where fans were requesting money from him after losing their bets, via Griffin on Twitter.
“I was getting requests off Venmo…(for) the money they bet on the game that they lost…I didn’t place the bet. That’s your fault,” Nix said.
Bo Nix said SEC fans have an “unhealthy obsession” with football, so I asked him to give me an example of it.

Gambling has become a rising issue in sports as it’s easier than ever to place a bet online via the multiple platforms available.
In this day and age of social media and the Internet, fans get carried away and are often seen attacking athletes for costing them money.
However, Nix understands that those people have no one to blame but themselves and it isn’t an athlete’s responsibility to care about someone else’s parlay.
