The Denver Broncos made what everybody already knew official.
Bo Nix will be Sean Payton’s starting quarterback for Week 1, and while that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s going to finish the season as the starter, the job will be his to lose.
With that in mind, his wife took to social media to share just how proud she was of her better half’s biggest accomplishment yet.
“So proud of him,” she wrote.
“Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established. Proverbs 16:3,” she also posted on Instagram.
Nix has been very impressive through two preseason contests.
Some analysts even believe he’s looked like the most NFL-ready quarterback among all of those who have taken the field, and he looks like a perfect fit for Sean Payton’s offense.
Nix has a strong arm and the ability to extend plays with his legs, and Payton was coaching him to win in his first two preseason contests; he didn’t want to just spoon-feed him the offense.
The Broncos are still projected to be among the worst teams in the league next season, and that’s far from a surprise.
Even if Nix turns out to be very good, they still have several flaws and issues on both sides of the field.
Payton is very optimistic about the status of the team, and we know him to be one of the best play-callers and coaches in terms of situational football in NFL history.
Then again, there’s just not much to do when your roster isn’t as talented as others, particularly if you share a division with a team fresh off winning two consecutive Super Bowls.
