After winning the 2022 NBA Championship, it looked like the Golden State Warriors were going to extend their dynasty.
That Warriors squad had a key young piece in Jordan Poole who was able to ease the offensive burden off Stephen Curry.
Poole parlayed his playoff run into a lucrative extension, but he didn’t get to celebrate it for long as he was the victim of a Draymond Green punch in practice that lit up social media.
Green’s been known to get on his teammates, but this was an entirely different situation as the video of the punch was leaked.
The video surfaced online and wound up being a distraction for the then-defending champions, who were unable to defend their crown.
Former Golden State GM Bob Myers says the organization still hasn’t discovered who leaked the video, via the “Old Man and the Three” podcast.
“Bob Myers says the Warriors haven’t found the person who leaked the video of Draymond Green punching Jordan Poole,” NBACentral tweeted.

Myers revealed that the Warriors hired a third party to investigate the leak and it turned up nothing.
It’s hard to believe that they couldn’t find the culprit, though at this point it doesn’t matter as all parties have moved on from the incident.
Poole turned in a clunker of a season and was dealt away to the Washington Wizards in exchange for Chris Paul while Green managed to sign another deal with the franchise.
