Bobby Wagner was the face of the Seattle Seahawks defense for several years.

Despite having his fair share of spats with the front office and the coaching staff, it felt like Wagner was going to stay there for his entire career.

Instead, he recently signed a deal with the Washington Commanders, hoping he has a better chance at a ring with that team.

Wagner was honest about how this all went down in a recent segment of Up & Adams.

Wagner indicated that the Dallas Cowboys were interested in him when Dan Quinn was with the team, but ultimately, nothing got done.

“We tried to make it happen a couple times, but it just didn’t work out, structurally, from a contract perspective,” Wagner said.

Now that Quinn is the head coach of the Commanders, a lot can happen.

The Commanders have already added several new players to their roster in the offseason, which includes Wagner.

Wagner showed that he had plenty of gas left in the tank during the 2023 season, and if he stays healthy all year, this could end up being a great acquisition for the Commanders.

It will be interesting to see his transition from the Seahawks goes, especially since he’s used to playing for Pete Carroll.

Carroll is a legendary coach in his own right, and it will certainly be tough to walk away from him, especially since he helped build Wagner’s career from the ground up.

How will this change of scenery help transform what is likely to be the final seasons of Wagner’s career?
