The Phoenix Suns scored a win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday night but it wasn’t without some challenges.
The Blazers kept it close before ultimately giving the Suns a 127-116 victory, their 21st of the season.
Following the game, Bradley Beal spoke with the press, via Oh no he didn’t on Twitter, and was honest about this team’s performance.
“I think we took a step back and I think we all know that,” Beal said, before adding the team didn’t have the right energy, wasn’t focused, and let the Blazers get comfortable.
“We didn’t win how the Phoenix Suns should win,” Beal said.

Sunday’s success came just days after the Suns demolished the Los Angeles Lakers at Crypto.com Arena.
During that game against the Lakers, the Suns again scored 127 points but their opponents only racked up 109.
Their win over the Lakers was a profound one and really gave fans a taste of what the Suns could look like when fully healthy and cohesive.
Although they won again on Sunday, it was an ugly win and it revealed some of the Suns’ problems.
It wasn’t enough for Beal and the rest of the team, who will work hard to make sure they don’t make the same mistakes again in the next games.
The Suns have won two in a row but they will now face the Sacramento Kings and New Orleans Pelicans this week.
Those are tough teams, much tougher than the Trail Blazers, so the Suns will have to learn from their missteps and not repeat them.
The Suns are currently the eighth-best team in the West with a 21-18 record.
They are happy they won on Sunday but they know they could have done much better.
