It seems that Brandon Ingram isn’t very pleased with the New Orleans Pelicans and is taking some time away from them.
According to Shamit Dua, Ingram did not attend a voluntary workout with the team in California.
There could be a good reason for that but the fact that this absence comes as Ingram and the Pelicans are disagreeing over a new contract makes it all very suspicious.

Just a few days ago, Ingram posted a cryptic social media post about valuing yourself.
This raised a few eyebrows because it came after months and months of speculation about Ingram and his future in New Orleans.
According to most reports, Ingram is looking for a multi-year contract that is worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
However, those same reports state that the Pelicans aren’t looking for such a big package and want something much smaller for Ingram.
Last season, Ingram averaged 20.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 5.7 assists per game on 49.2% from the field.
He is still an important part of the team but the Pelicans are figuring out what they want to do next.
They are obviously deeply committed to Zion Williamson and just added Dejounte Murray to the lineup.
Plus, they have a plethora of young talent on the roster too.
Some signs point to them ready to move beyond Ingram.
Ingram is willing to stick around, but only for the right price point.
Since he and the front office don’t see eye-to-eye on how much he is worth, a dispute is growing.
Ingram might have a valid reason for missing this workout and it could be something simple and completely innocent.
But this is raising some red flags and suggesting he isn’t happy with his team.
