The MLB postseason has a handful of teams that are capable of winning the World Series.
Many people like to look at the betting odds to see which teams are the favorites.
But, based off of last year, being the postseason favorite does not mean much.
The Philadelphia Phillies went from the final NL Wild Card spot to the World Series.
Their odds were not very good entering the postseason but that did not seem to matter.
Still, it is interesting to see which teams are expected to have the most playoff success.
According to Codify, the Atlanta Braves are the favorite to win the World Series followed by the Los Angeles Dodgers and Houston Astros.

Due to their elite offensive production, the Braves deserve the top spot on this list.
The reigning champion Astros come in with the third-best odds.
That is mostly because they had a down regular season by their standards.
Houston is used to running away with the division title by August or early September.
This year it took them until the final day of the regular season to win the AL West.
Even with that the Astros claimed the second seed in the AL and are poised for a strong postseason run.
The one team that no one is talking about is the Baltimore Orioles.
They were the best team in the AL this year but have almost no postseason experience.
For that reason, many people believe the Orioles will come up short.
All things considered, the Braves have earned the right to be World Series favorites.
But, that does not mean they cannot be upset just like we saw last year.
