Before superstar quarterback Brett Favre was ultimately traded to the New York Jets back in 2008, the Green Bay Packers were having an ongoing battle with the one-time Super Bowl champion because he constantly changed his mind about whether he wanted to continue playing or retire.
Things got so bad in Green Bay that the team thought it would negatively impact Aaron Rodgers, who backed up Favre since the team selected him with the No. 24 overall pick in the 2005 NFL Draft and clearly had high hopes for his future with the team.
During that time of turmoil and uncertainty, there were many rumors about Rodgers’ relationship with Favre, as it seemed like the veteran was toying with the promising youngster’s future in Green Bay.
Once Rodgers took over under center in Green Bay and Favre started fresh with the Jets, it seemed like all was forgotten as the two publicly appeared to maintain they had a good relationship while with the Packers.
However, that might not have been the case after all, with a new book coming out on Rodgers by Ian O’Connor that details this contentious relationship and how they weren’t fond of each other, which Favre was confronted by Zach Gelb.
“I thought we had a great relationship, to be honest with you,” Favre said.

It’ll be interesting to see if Rodgers confirms having a bad relationship with Favre, denies it, or refuses to discuss the subject altogether.
