The Tennessee Titans and Chicago Bears will both kick off a new era on Sunday.

Soldier Field will host thousands of hopeful fans, with Caleb Williams, Rome Odunze, and the new-look Bears looking to put an end to their postseason drought.

On the other side of the field, we’ll find Brian Callahan, who’ll get his very first opportunity as a head coach and who’ll have the tough task of replacing Mike Vrabel.

More than that, this will be an emotional matchup for the first-year coach.

Talking to the media ahead of the game, Callahan admitted that he actually grew up as a Bears fan.

His family was born and raised in Chicago, so he grew up watching and rooting for the Bears, Chicago Bulls, and Chicago Cubs, just like most Chicagoans in the 90s (via Paul Kuharsky).

Callahan claimed that there would be no better place to get his head coaching career started, praising the city and the fans.

The Titans made a big move by letting Vrabel go.

While the past couple of seasons hadn’t been good, he had established himself as one of the best coaches in the league.

Now, Callahan will look to take their offense to the 21st century.

The Titans made some major moves in the offseason to make Will Levis’ life easier ahead of his first full season as a starter.

And going against a very good defensive team like the Bears to open up the season will be a great test to see where he’s at right now.
