Hard Knocks showed that the New York Giants tried to trade up to get a quarterback in the first round of the NFL Draft.
However, they didn’t seem too bothered when that wasn’t the case, as they knew they could still find a stud at No. 6.
The Giants pivoted and decided to give their current quarterback one of the best weapons in the draft, taking LSU star Malik Nabers.
The show also showed how high HC Brian Daboll was on Nabers.
It’s been weeks since that day, and Daboll only seems to like him even more now.
When asked about Nabers, the coach stated that as much as he is a rookie and will go through some growing pains, he absolutely loves him as a player and as a person (Via Giants Videos).
“I love him as a person, love his competitive fire. Glad he’s on our football team.”

Daboll raved about Nabers’ competitive fire and determination and claimed to be ecstatic about having him on the team.
Nabers looks like a stud in the making, drawing comparisons to former LSU colleagues like Ja’Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson.
He’s an elite route-runner with secure hands and was one of the most electrifying playmakers in all of college football, and he’s the kind of player who should gauge double digits in targets right out of the gate.
There’s a lot to be worried about when it comes to Daniel Jones, but at least the team got him a prime weapon once and for all.
