The NFL is certainly milking Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce’s relationship with country pop star Taylor Swift.

Since Kelce and Swift started dating, the latter has been a fixture at Chiefs’ games and television cameras seemingly pan to her every time the tight end makes a play.

What started as a fun treat for fans quickly became a phenomenon as more and more people began to tune into the television broadcasts to watch Swift.

Her fanbase is about as rabid as a music artist’s can get and their love and enthusiasm for Swift has boosted the NFL’s rating and viewer counts.

However, there’s a contingent of football fans who would prefer that the NFL tone down it’s obsession of Swift on game days.

For example, former Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher admitted he and his daughters love Swift but he would prefer to watch more of the game via ESPN.

“Just seeing her on there every other shot is getting old,” Urlacher said.

Urlacher was respectful and said that he enjoys Swift’s music and believes she’s a great person, but also emphasizes how much he dislikes how the league is handling coverage of her.

He has a point as the NFL seems to do it’s best to make a spectacle of Swift at every game and they’ll no doubt do the same when she’s in attendance for Super Bowl LVIII.

To Urlacher’s dismay, it doesn’t seem like the hype for Swift in the NFL will go away anytime soon and it’ll only grow larger if Kansas City wins it all on Sunday.
