The Los Angeles Lakers continue to be one of the most highly discussed teams in the NBA.
Not only are they a historic franchise, but with the Lakers’ lack of titles in recent seasons (minus the COVID-19 season), there is a growing sense that the Lakers are due for another ring.
With LeBron James on the roster, the Lakers do have a major star on the team.
Anthony Davis has been a great counterpart to James, but they might need to add more pieces if they want to compete to the best of their abilities.
With this in mind, analysts like Brian Windhorst are trying to come up with the best possible players for the Lakers to add before the season starts.
According to “Basketball on X,” Windhorst said, “I wouldn’t rule out Jonas Valanciunas eventually ending up on the Lakers this year. That’s all I’m going to say.”

Whether Windhorst has insider information remains to be seen, but throwing out Valanciunas’ name carries a lot of weight.
Valanciunashas continued to be a solid player throughout his career, even though his teams haven’t been as good as he might have liked.
Joining the Lakers could be an opportunity for Valanciunas to pick up a championship ring, as he left the Raptors the season before they won it all.
Will a deal make sense for both sides, paving the way for the Lakers to pick up another dominant big man?
