Brian Windhorst Reveals How Long He Thinks LeBron James Will Play

LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers will be 40 years old in just a few months but he is still playing terrific basketball.

However, no one can play forever and James is definitely nearing the end of his career.

Sitting in on “First Take,” Brian Windhorst said he expects James to play for a couple more seasons, likely in Los Angeles, if he remains healthy.

When his time playing comes to an end, James will then try to be “the face of the franchise in Las Vegas.”

Windhorst said that James wishes to stay in LA and wants to play with his son, Bronny.

Both of those things will happen in the upcoming season, meaning James will have achieved nearly every conceivable NBA goal.

There is just one more thing he wants to do: own an NBA team.

It seems very likely that the league will establish a couple more franchises within the next few years and one of them will reportedly be located in Las Vegas.

James has made no secret of his desire to run that team and it probably would get set up around the time he retires.

He could make a seamless transition from player to owner, which would bring a ton of attention to the Vegas team.

But before that happens, James has at least one more season left with the Lakers.

It’ll be a big one for him, as he will attempt to keep scoring more than 25 points per game and realize the dream of playing alongside his son.

It’ll be a huge season for James but it probably won’t be his last.
