The Cleveland Cavaliers are on the verge of elimination.

But more than that, they also have a key offseason to plan for.

Darius Garland and Evan Mobley have left plenty to be desired this season, and it seems like their development kind of stalled.

Jarrett Allen has been great on both ends of the floor, especially on defense, but he’s hurt at the moment.

And if that wasn’t enough, Donovan Mitchell’s future with the organization is still in doubt.

With that in mind, ESPN insider Brian Windhorst revealed that multiple teams already have their trade offers in place for the talented shooting guard.

Talking on “Get Up,” he revealed that the Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets, among other teams, are keeping tabs on the situation in Cleveland.

He explained that Mitchell never requested a trade from the Utah Jazz or hinted at being uncomfortable there, yet they knew there was a big chance that he wouldn’t extend his stay with the team.

The Cavs could be facing a similar situation.

Mitchell recently pumped the brakes on the extension talks, and some believe he’s not going to sign a new contract in the offseason.

So, with the Cavs already knowing what it’s like to lose their franchise player, they might choose to run it back with this team for another season or move on from Mitchell while his trade value is still very high.

Mitchell has two years left on his contract and, just like Windhorst pointed out, they won’t have to look around much to find him a trade suitor.
