The Los Angeles Clippers could lose one of their biggest stars this summer if Paul George decides he is ready to move on.
George has been very loyal to the Clippers but he may think it’s time to try his luck with another team.
If that happens, he may opt into a new deal with the Clippers and then demand a trade, according to Brian Windhorst.
“[Clippers] have not been willing to meet Paul George’s price. He remains un-signed. You can’t just look at teams with salary cap space. If Paul George changes teams, it’s very likely going to be a situation where he opts into his contract and requests a trade,” Windhorst said, per NBACentral.

Some fans and analysts look at teams with cap space when they talk about George’s future.
Obviously, those franchises would be able to throw a lot of money at the Clippers star in an attempt to sign him.
But Windhorst said that George could elect to sign with the Clippers again and then demand a trade, which would open up his options in a big way.
Both the Philadelphia 76ers and Orlando Magic have been mentioned as possible landing spots for George.
But if he decides to opt in and then trade, many other teams could be in contention for him.
Then again, George and the Clippers could end up seeing eye to eye and he could stick around in Los Angeles if the right deal is offered.
He has never made any mention of wanting to leave and LA is his hometown so he might choose to stay where he is.
But if he makes up his mind to leave, George could give himself many options by opting in and demanding a trade.
