The Golden State Warriors made a tough business decision when they moved on from Jordan Poole.

Over and over, the front office has shown that they’re committed to making the most of their current title window, even if that means jeopardizing their future.

But as risky as those gambles might seem right now, Brian Windhorst of ESPN still believes they’re a championship-caliber team because of that.

Windhorst cited that bringing Draymond Green back will help them stay on top, even if they also lose Donte DiVincenzo.

“If [the Warriors] are bringing Draymond Green back, they’re definitely a championship-caliber team.”

The ESPN pundit pointed out that the only reason the Warriors were the No. 6 seed last season was that Stephen Curry missed two big stretches with injuries, not because there were five teams that were better than them.

Of course, not having Gary Payton II’s elite defense and Andrew Wiggins taking some time off for personal reasons didn’t do a lot to help their case either, but they still have a championship-caliber core.

The Warriors will have a chip on their shoulders next season, and they’ve proven to be at their best when their backs are against the wall.

Everybody’s talking about the end of the dynasty and how they won’t win another championship in the Stephen Curry era, and history has taught us over and over that this is the last team you want to be caught sleeping on.

The Warriors might be thinner without Jordan Poole, but they’re still a talented team that’s tailor-made for the postseason, and that won’t change for the foreseeable future.
